In support of LGBT+ equality, diversity and inclusion and in celebration of LGBT+ Pride, BAME Recruitment are please to host a panel discussion on "What makes a great LGBT+ inclusive leader?"
This event will give attendees the opportunity to hear from a diverse-range of LGBT+ speakers plus an ally who has hands-on experience of diversity and inclusion leadership. Speakers will discuss LGBT+ inclusion best practices and will give insight into "What makes a great LGBT+ inclusive leader?"
The topics covered will be:
- Diversity within the LGBT+ community and how it translates into the workplace environment.
- How allies can help LGBT+ people in the workplace?
- Diversity and inclusion, leading the change.

Chloë Davies -
Feminist, activist, bisexual. Chloë is the Deputy Director for Community Engagement for Pride in London where she works actively with LGBT groups to understand their needs and to help deliver events and a parade that is diverse and representative.
Chloë is also a chef and entrepreneur. She spent over 15 years working in Retail, Artist Management and PR before starting her own company in 2015.
Claire Harvey -
Claire is an experienced leader, inclusion expert and Paralympian. A psychologist, Claire has been a Senior leader across different sectors; a Prison Governor, Head of CSR at the FSA and Head of Inclusive Leadership at KPMG. Claire is now CEO for Diversity Role Models, a charity embedding LGBT inclusion within schools. Claire was awarded an MBE in 2017 for both her services to Sport and to Inclusion.
Antonia Belcher -
A Founding Partner, MHBC. Antonia has 40 plus years’ experience in the construction and property industries and leads her own business that she formed in 2007. Transitioning in 2000/2003 in a very male dominated working environment, where there was no history or visible LGBT+ influences to draw on, she presses for positive change for LGBT+ good in all business spheres, but especially in her chosen career path of Surveying. A Board Director of the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust, Diversity Role Models and a Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors, and advisor to other organisations she particularly seeks equal opportunities for Women/LGBT+ within the Construction Industry, which has of course been a side of business generally slow to react to such. She was shortlisted in 2017 for the Gay Times ‘Success in Entrepreneurship’ Gary Frisch award.
James Haq-Myles -
James is a Global Diversity Consultant for Resource Solutions. He works to embed a diversity lens into the recruitment processes of his FTSE 100 clients across each of the key diversity pillars. In his previous role at Stonewall, he worked with financial services and recruitment firms to create LGBT+ inclusive workplaces globally. He is currently working on the creation of a trans inclusive recruitment programme for his clients in India.
Jim Herbert -
Jim is the Chief Development Officer at Aon Risk Solutions EMEA (Aon). Since joining Aon in 2008 Jim has held several positions from leading the UK business through to client roles in Europe Middle East and Africa. Currently Jim is responsible for the Global Enterprise Client Group serving our largest most complex customers.
Jim has a passion for inclusion encompassing global and national roles for Aon. In these roles Aon has challenged practices, culture and actions creating strategies to support inclusion throughout the business.
Jim is very proud to have been recognised in the the OUTstanding / Financial Times Top 50 Ally Executives lists for the last two years.
The evening will be a relaxed event and will give attendees an opportunity to hear from a diverse-range of LGBT+ speakers and an ally about their experiences of diversity and inclusion within the workplace and to gain invaluable insight into what makes a great inclusive leader and work environment.
