An exciting opportunity has arisen, to work within a leading charity, as an Executive Assistant to the Trustees.  You will become part of a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team, in this organisation based in London.

Purpose of the Role
The Executive Assistant will provide an exceptional standard of support and assistance to the Chief Executive Office and Trustees, providing an effective link between the Board of Trustees and the organisation.

Key Accountabilities / Objectives

  • Support the Chairman with Board recruitment and appraisals, collate, finalise and circulate Board packs in advance of meetings and track actions and follow up accordingly.
  • Plan and deliver the annual engagement programme for Trustees and work closely with the Impact and Investment department to facilitate opportunities for the Board to visit projects both in the UK and Internationally.
  • Produce newsletters for key stakeholders, including Trustees to ensure effective communication and act as the central point connecting Trustees to the organisation. 
  • Work with the Company Secretary to ensure organisation is compliant with the Charity Commission and other regulatory bodies.
  • Manage the recruitment and responsibilities of advisory groups, support the relevant designated group assistant and chair to ensure maximum benefit to members and the organisation and plan succession management of Trustees through the panels.
  • Work with the Head of Talent and others to scope, develop and implement a strong engagement programme for the organisations key stakeholders, including Trustees, Ambassadors (replacing Hon Trustees) and key partners.
  • Attend internal and external meetings with, and on behalf of, the CEO where necessary and support the wider EA network if required. 
  • Actively participate in collaborative Cross-functional working both within the CEO department and across the wider organisation.

Essential Education and Skills:

  • Strong experience of complex diary management
  • Good experience of Executive Assistant / secretarial work at a senior level
  • Strong project management experience - carry out multiple tasks and working to deadlines in an organised manner.
  • Strong experience of stakeholder management and engagement
  • Solid IT literacy in MS Windows, MS Office and Outlook
